Conference Support Group:
In addition to the
individuals on various committees with specific functions listed above,
there are many other people who volunteer to organise and support the
CamTESOL conference. In particular, there are several individuals who
are making a substantial contribution to the development and growth of
this conference in specific ways that are appropriate to acknowledge,
as below
| Anne is facilitating communication between the members of
an informal international support group that integrates with
local committee members and shares experience each year in conference
organisation and various ELT quality assurance issues. |
| Marion is editing abstracts and contributing
to the formatting of the conference handbook. |
| Kagnarith is facilitating local support for the CamTESOL publication
including providing logistical assistance to the Editor-in-Chief.
He also acts as liaison person for the informal international
support group. |
| Theara is facilitating local support for the
CamTESOL publication including support of Cambodian-based research
that will feed into conference presentations. |
| Sokhom is publicising the conference both within
Cambodia and internationally. She is seeking potential partners
to help develop the conference. |
| Paul is acting as a focal point for Cambodian-based TESOL
research. He is facilitating the development of a corpus
of research and Cambodian articles that will give a Cambodian
flavour to the CamTESOL publication. |
| Ted is co-ordinating the circulation of papers
and taking a leading role in establishing the CamTESOL publication. |
| Richmond is facilitating dialogue between managers
of English Language centres overseas and within Cambodia to help
start an effective management stream within the conference.
He is assisting Cambodian-based research, including preparation
of presentations and the CamTESOL publication. |
| Lynda is assisting regionalisation of the conference
through working with teachers in Central Vietnam in the preparation of
presentations linked into tiered peer professional development in
Vietnam. |
